Living the American Dream

I believe that I am not living the American dream. I have yet to achieve many of my goals, but I guess you could say that I am working my way towards attaingin the American dream. I believe that education is a very important part of achieveing ones dreams. I am currently going to school to get a masters degree in architecture. I guess my education is a part of the American dream which I see working in my life at the moment. I also would say that my family is another part of the American dream which I see working in my life right now. I have a family who is behind me one hundred percent and supports me with everything I choose to do. Another aspect I see is also my friends. My friends also support me and help me when I need it. I guess after writing all of this I am living the American dream. The American dream just does not happen overnight, it takes time, and I would say I am in the developmental stages of the American Dream. I am just beginning and am building the foundation to my overall structure of what my American dream is. Having this education behind me will open up more options for me in the future. With my education I can start a career and begin to raise money. After acquiring a large sum of money and have a stable job I can look for a significant other to start a family with. Once I have a family and career I think I would be living the American dream. Until then I would have to say that I am living the American dream, but am still early on and slowly building my way up towards living and achieveing the American dream to its fullest extent.

Introduction

My name is Gilbert Perez and this is my second time taking this class. I am an architecture major planning to transfer to Cal Poly within 3 years, and have considered other architecture schools on the East coast. My plans for this semester are to pass this course with an A and not have to take this iniquitous class again. My interest include many genres of art. I specifically like to sketch, and have recently taken up painting, but have yet to gain control of such an expandable medium. My favorite style of paintings is that of artists Claude Monet and Vincent Van Gogh, which are both impressionistic painters. I strive to become a better artist every day and take in life experiences to expand my knowledge. This being the second time taking this class I plan to learn from my mistakes and do better this semester.
